High Voltage

1. voltmeter faulty or faulty connection of voltmeter

Check voltage at alternator terminals with multimeter .Replace the voltmeter or correct or repair the connection to voltmeter.

2. Engine speed too high. I.e. more than 1600 rpm. Reduce engine speed to the design one.

3. AVR voltage adjustment or external hand trimmer incorrectly set.

Correct by adjusting the voltage adjustment at AVR or external hand trimmer for out put voltage.

4. Sensing supply from Stator is low or open circuit.

Check the harness from the stator to AVR, if faulty replace or repair the same.

5. AVR faulty

If sensing supply is Ok and also no response from voltage adjustment. AVR is faulty replace the same.
